mine is doing fair, its a little weird, when I tighten teh starter down all teh way, it refuses to grab correctly, so the bottom bolt is a little loose to allow the starter to move during cranking

    works fine, grabs fine

go figure, too lazy to really diag it, and if it busts, big hill, 3rd gear :D

63K on the diamondschwarts 318!!!! Go home, just f$cking go home.
I have to take the starter off to drop the tranny. Its the last thing on and I didn't have time to get it done before I headed back to school :( I never found the 2 long bolts that connect it to the bellhousing. Maybe next weekend.

                    That's a long time!
I have no idea how many miles my motor has because the
miles counter was broken even before the previouse owner had it (3 years)

                    Probably alittle over 210k? (it's at 197k, I think)

Mine's at 267K and needs to be replaced along with my clutch...My solenoid is no longer kicking in the starter drive. I've got the parts I just have got to make the time and roll it into the garage and get it up on stands.

Mine went out on me a month or so ago, it had 260,000 miles on it. Started acting up at the autocross. A few hours later I was all packed up and about to drive 3 1/2 hours back home and it wouldn't turn over...then smoke.
