Agreed. Fiberglass is placed in molds after spraying them with Gelcoat, then placed under pressure to cure.
No "casting" takes place.
"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."
this might be a stupid question, but why is it so hard to make a quality mtech kit? I assume the copies are made from originals, if so then its just mold and cast.
Fiberglass and other composites have a marvelous quality provided to them by the resin used. Most will shrink and distort a certain amount while curing.

I seem to be the only one who is really happy with Eurostyle's kit. I installed my kit (properly) without any help whatsoever, and believe me it fits way better than any OEM plastic bumper/s that i have ever seen...and i've seen 100's of different e30's around.
It used to bug me that my kit was fiberglass, but now i could care less. If i ever need a replacement piece i can rely on Fil (Eurostyle) to get it for me quickly.
I have never been a fan of plastic bumpers. I find that with the bumper, valance, lip and then a splitter it just adds too many lines to the front (which are always unevenly spaced), that's why i have a fiberglass kit. IMO it looks just sooooooo much cleaner looking.
I have seen pics of Jase's "nightmare" kit and i would also be upset if i had dished out all kinds of $$$ for something like that. I am friends with Jase and Fil (Eurostyle), and they are both great guys. I'm sure that they can work something out between the 2 of them.
