The actual eurostyle quality.....long

Since fil from eurostyle wants to play lets see what his quality is like. A bit of history if you will. I bought the first off mtechII replica kit from a member on max.About 2 months later I decide to get it refit for my wider arches. I called the maker(eurostyle) I said i will not need it done for a few months. So he told me to bring it by whenever. So I called in advance and drove the 3 hrs to his business. i called about 15min out. Just to be told he needed to step out for a half hour. 4hrs later he calls. I drop it off. I get it back a week later ( it looked ok) seemed close. Well in our conversation before the fitting he said no worries he had a e30 there to test fit it against.( it would be better on the actual car) But it should be very minimal fitting, trimming etc I tried it on my 2 e30's and a friends too..apparently i forced him to fit it without mycar knowing it may be off by alot..LOL. I emailed him about some issues bumper length not covering the rebar,skirts &front too long doorcaps too short ect. bring it in when I get back from holidays.. a month later WTF? I took it to a body shop they told me the actual quality.. in their words...the worst fit have ever seen.. "was it actually made for this car?" Anyway I paid fil to refit the kit for my arches and got nothing. then he decided to turn it around on me that I am the bad customer. Instead of my refit money back i said well why not some fogs.. i need those anyway and he has parts cars.. I thought it was a nice justure.. guess not. Oh ya.. it is a copy of an orginal.. NO .. its a copy of a copy that the bodyshop assumes got worse ........might not be the quality of all his stuff but a good indicator.Even the stuff he didnt refit was off. All i can say is OEM...dont waste your money. Remember I am the one out the $ not him

poor quailty fit. Lots of cuts had to be made to rework the areas. All around had to be rebuilt to fit. Pure waste of money. And based on the pm's back and forth a waste of time to even mention the quality to the maker..

But OEM instead of fiberglass. Fiberglass costs you 5x the cost of the kit just to pay someone to fit it properly.

I was going to respond the load of crap on max but it is down. The guys from the bodyshop are signing up to put in thier .02 cents.. so that people can get the opinion from a professional instead of a angry customer

It seems that way these days. Just when I was going to post all those pics too. I may have had it comming for buying a copy of a copy .But At least I can push others in the direction of a OEM.. and show why.The refit will cost me as much as the OEM would have.

Jase I hope you get it all sorted out. Even though I didn't need the parts from you that you offered I appreciate the gesture and you seem like a stand up guy.

I have seen a variety of work that Fil has done over the years (we went to the same highschool) and he does have the ability to make well fitting pieces but from what I understand by your expireances and Kevens (solodomatic) the best fit pieces are the ones for his personal cars. But then again Jay's IS lip fits alright and so does Terry's mtech so who knows.

I didnt want it to go this way .I know he may make some kits with a way better fit. I have even seen one even. But this is way off. the door caps have no backing. I know the other replicas do ( didnt at the time). I also know that as things are copied they only get worse.If it was off and OEM it may have been better. I assume this will not exactly go over well but since I am the "bad customer" I might as well show my used to be eurostyle kit. Because after all the work there is not much left that can be considered his.

The lip isn't very hard to do though, you gotta admit. And the M-Tech II valence he made when I almost bought one (spring) was made well, he literally slipped it onto my stock air dam to prove it.

So I don't have any personal issue with his work, but the amount of guy's complaining show it's not an isolated issue. I'd consider Fil to be a friend of mine, but he really needs to fix these quality issues people are finding.

Remember mine as I believe was the first one off. There might have been adjustments made. Plus the front was the best fitting I have some pics of the front to but only after some trimming.

And the most important thing to remember is I didnt make the kit or refit it. So the quality is all him. regardless of everything else.................

this might be a stupid question, but why is it so hard to make a quality mtech kit? I assume the copies are made from originals, if so then its just mold and cast.
