    Oh my F*&#!, I can't go home!

    The rain has I-5 closed.

North and south bound are closed near Chehalis. WA dept. of Transportation says the only choice is heading east over the Cascades, north through Bend, further to Goldendale WA, damn near the Idaho border, then up I-90 to Bellevue...like a 15 to 17 hour drive on a nice summer day...but in a low E30 on 215/40/17s? FUCK! I can't go north!

Find news releases and announcements about the agency in our virtual newsroom.

WSDOT says to expect LENGTHY delays since many truckers are diverting over to I-84, which is one lane in either direction already!

This is just too damn weird.

    Closing SOON!

That's some shitty news. But because of your post I also found our I-84 that runs through my state (CT) and I-90 in MA go all the way to WA. I know they're interstates, but I never knew they were that long.

No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.

That's cool you get to hang with the lady. But hopefully its not causing you to miss needed work. Should be a nice break from the college-style living situation up here.

But if you do start to feel frisky and want to drive around, just don't. The weather/roads are just as bad on this side of the mountains. I-90 was closed earlier today from North Bend to here (Ellensburg) due to a large avalanche. West Ellensburg was flooded a bit earlier today, and I haven't driven out there to see since then. It's supposed to get bad until about early afternoon tomorrow.

Yesterday (Tuesday) morning there was about 14-16 inches of snow on the ground and it was snowing. About 36 hours later there is just scattered snow around and all of the streams/rivers/creeks are high as shit and moving quickly.

I thought it was complete bullshit when the bank forced me to get flood insurance in order to give me a mortgage, but now I see why. I would sure hate to see my things and house destroyed.

Anywho enough babbling. I can't sleep so I ramble. Have fun with your mini vacation.

              Fin.

Wow that sucks dude! I-15 has never closed over here because of rain or snow.. it's just permanently gridlocked because of construction.

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

                            This happened last winter too.

Head to the coast instead of over the mountains, go to Oregon through Astoria.

I love how you guys say "I-5". lolz. Im on THE 5, not I-5. I live near the intersection of the 134 and the 2 freeways. Ive always loved things having to do with dialects, accents, regional versions of language. That kind of shit is so interesting to me.
