i test drove a 330ci today,and a G35X

so at work we have an E46 330ci with SMG trans, sitting on summer tires(pretty worn out), i took it for a drive. the weather is as bad, as you can get. -20c and it was snowing like crazy, roads are shit,icy and slushy!!! i thought about it first,and i thought why not, lets take that car for a spin.

damn, damn that thing has like summer tires and the traction is so amazing on that car, i thought i am gonna end up over the ditch or sliding all over the road, but damn the 330ci did the job. with the DSC turned on, i can't even slid the rear tires, its like someone that sitting beside you, once you loose control it kicks you right back in. i wouldn't actually mind Daily Driving that car, with the summer tires it was very good, i could only imagine that car with winter tires:)

the smg trans is okay, i would prefer a manual, but not as bad as i thought.:giggle: the car is so fuckin nice. dark blue,with black leather interior.



then i got bored, and i took a G35X for a drive, that shit is crazy!!! awd is very good on icy roads and such. it was a pain in the ass to get it started, since the battery was dead and i had to ask like 20 persons to give me a booster cables haha. but yah,over all the awd is good on it, the exhuast note is sweet. but its slow

The 6-year-old OP might actually have this one right, as I remember they did make (albeit very few) an SMG/SSG-equipped E46 330Ci. SMG/SSG was available in all US and ROW 325i and 330i variants produced in 2004 and 2005 IIRC.
