They are nice cars, and the 1.8t is nice....... I drove one of the ladies I work with at the dealerships. But men drive A4s.

the only reason Im getting my cousins Jetta, is cause i cant afford to get a car at a dealership right now. i had a lil trouble with my credit history. getting the Jetta, I wouldnt have to get full coverage insurance as i would have to if I got a loan and got a car from a dealership. i was thinking of getting another engine or even an M50 but i dont want another hassle. right now, I need something reliable. My mom said she would buy it from me after a year or two. then i can get me an E36 M3. Im not sure if i wanna part the car out. maybe just the aftermarket stuff. the money I get from it, im going to put into some wheels and suspension for the Jetta

Ive never been a fan of vw and will never be a fan of fwd... but it does look pretty nice, cept the wheels.

Please a Jetta just isn't worth it. If I was forced into one I'd get a MKII GLI but thats it...

Look for something different, stick with it!

Be careful getting the older MK IV's; they're FULL of problems and bugs. Its taken VW forever to work most of them out. But other than that, go for it. I love mine. For me the FWD is a tradeoff for all the stuff on the GLI, and the overall newness of it.


Get used to torquesteer. It was weird getting used to.
