That is insanely cool. Those seats look very comfortable, by the way. Details on the mechanicals?

The old Ferrari system for the v12s is take the model# multiply x cyl =total cc. In other words the model number is the cc per cylinder. 365 Daytona was 4.4 litre, the 250s were 3 litre, etc.

a 166 is a 2 litre V12 car. Tiny pistons! micro headers and exhaust pipes. Tube chassis, live rear axle, leaf springs f&r iirc, 5speed gearbox. sohc 2 valves/cyl, 166s were light, under 2000 lbs wet with driver iirc. It's a pretty small car. They sound great.

these were major hotshit race cars in the late 1940s and into the 1950s. I think Ferrari first won LeMans with a 166. The 166s were still around when I was first at races in the late 50s

Piece of major coolness, Japandrew. Consider yourself blessed, there really aren't many people get near to this kind of stuff.

The 166 was Ferrari's first huge success, they had a 125 before, pretty similar layout, but the 166 pretty much made Ferrari.
