      Awesome race ?

The only real excitement was Hamilton not having any tyres during the pit stop, which decided the entire race.

I would love to see Mark Webber win the championship.

Edit: and does no one else think that Rubens is an under talented whining little bitch?

watching live timing helps, FYI. seeing the times rubins was putting down when it counted won the race.

sorry there was no 'rubbin' but when one car is running 10/10ths the entire race, and you cannot tell who is going to win; its a good race.

Rubens definetly did, and well deserved. I know Hamilton's pit crew and box will be getting some backlash after that screw up which was caused by what I understood on Italian tv was a serious miscomunication between the Control Box and the pit team.

Nice to see BMW get a point at least with Kubica :)

            well done Rubinho!!!!!

It would have been close if Hamilton's second stop went correctly, but I think Brawn had the strategy such that Rubens still wins. Of course, if Louise would have been riding his ass in the last stint, who knows if pressure might have forced a mistake . . .

They were talking about Rob Smedley texting Felipe during quali and the race. I feel bad for those guys. Badoer was horrid. That move letting Grosjean pass him in the pits showed he has no business being in that car in a race. Too bad MS or even Gene were not in the car instead.

Not a lot of drama but a decent race. Almost all passing was done in the pits. Never really cared for street circuts much. Cant wait for Spa. Hamiltons crew def cost him the race. No doubt he should have been in front of RB after the second round of stops. If he is in front, RB does not pass him. To hard of a circut to pass on, and not a big enough difference in pace. A good win for RB, Button had a terrible start which cost him dearly. Brawn had a good strategy and it showed. They put the pressure on McLaren and they choked.

That second pit stop snafu cost Hamilton about 5 seconds. When he came out, Rubens was up on him by close to 8 seconds. How do you figure he would have been in front were it not for the screwed up stop?

                    awesome! Im happy for Rubens!

now the next 3 dudes that need to win this year to make 2009 complete for me:

                    1. Heidfeld (for obvious BMW reasons)
                    2. Kimi (2nd doesnt count)
                    3. Sutil (Just because it would be cool to see him and force india on the podium.)

thats is all... cant wait for SPA, its one of my fav tracks!

Great race - bravo to Rubens! - very much a well deserved win. A very strong performance all weekend. I'm worried about how they (Brawn) will fair at Spa next weekend. The Brawn GP cars don't perform well in inclimate weather (which is very possible at the Belgium circuit). If Vettel and Webber have solid Renault mills in their cars, I expect these guys to be the front runners with one or two McLarens mixing it up with them should the weather not cooperate.

Speaking of McLaren, they've been starting to show some serious strength in these last few races. They certainly aren't in play for any kind of title this year, but however the chips may fall at the end of the race with respect to where the Red Bull and Brawn cars finish, they could help or hurt either of the aforementioned teams and how points get earned. A spoiler effect if you will.....depending on the team you're cheering for.

Rosberg and Williams did good too. I know the rumormill is churning about Nico possibly going to another team next year.....wouldn't surprise me. He seems to be a solid driver that could be a podium contender with the right car/team. And Alonso to Ferrari? This has to be the worst kept secret in F1. I'm pretty sure its a done deal already with Kimi so interested in rally racing.

As several have said I am looking way more forward to Spa than this past race for obvious reasons. Race went terrible for Red Bull so I was pretty frustrated during the whole race. Spa should be as amazing of a race as it was last year. Hoping for rain so the Wunderkind can show people how it is done.

Fisicella(Force India)#1, Trulli(Toyota)#2, and Heidefeld(BMW)#3 for Spa on sunday. Barrichello is 4th, Kubica is 5th. Alonso, Kovalainen and Hamilton didn't even make it out of Q2. This will be interesting to watch.

Glad to see Fisi up there! Im sure they are very light on fuel but it dosent matter. 1st in Q1, 4th in Q2 and a pole. Hes going to get Force Indias first point [unless Kimi runs into him]

Rubins is in a great place. Button shouldnt score any points, Rubins should be able to get into the top 2 or 3 and bring the points down to around 10.
