just saw that as well. Kimi can drive drunk and hit a tree and no one will be the wiser . . . :-)

Heidfeld is probably sleeping much better now, between that and Sauber getting the grid slot. Unless Kubica gets freed up as a result of this Renault/Prodrive thing, Quick Nick should be in the Mercedes next year.

And so it appears, Renault is out. Selling to Prodrive. What does this mean for Kubica? His contract may have an out for him in this instance. If so, my bet is Kubica to Mercedes GP, Heaidfeld stays with Sauber.

Sauber by the way, is now confirmed by FIA as IN THE SHOW!!!!

Somehow, i think the that the two year streak of Car #22 being the WDC comes to an end in 2010 . . . :)

The longer Mercedes waits, the more likely it seems they are waiting to see if Kubica may be available . . .

Normally I'd be with you on the Schumi talk, but I have a different feeling about this time. If I were Haug/Brawn I'd be talking to Kubica instead of Schumacher. Robert can be quite impressive if given a half-way decent car. Michael could be a great test/development driver for them though.

    Ferrari - Massa, Alonso
    McMerc - Hamilton, Button
    Manor - Glock
Renault (if they grid in 2010) - Kubica
    Red Bull - Vettel, Webber
    Williams - Rubins, Hulkenberg
    Campos - Senna
    Lotus - Trulli (rumoured)
    STR - Buemi
    Force India -Sutil, Liuzzi
    USF1 - Lopez (rumoured)
    Mercedes/Brawn - Rosberg, Schumacher (rumoured)
    Sauber - ?

    OUT - Kimi

Should get a ride - Heidfeld, Trulli, Kovalainen, Kobayashi, Fisichella

So Qadbak is out and Sauber gets the team back.

And what of Renault? Sounds to me like they are getting ready to pull the plug. If so, maybe Kubica to Mercedes? I think the Schumi talk is nonsense.

I was sure that I read confirmation on both Lopez & Sutil, but can't find it for the life of me :(

If we're basing that grid on rumors, we'd have a lot more names. Let's stick to confirmed pairings.
