Well I applied for Best Buy. My town is finally getting one.
I submitted the application Sunday and went in to the Best Buy office to see why they hadn't contacted me yet, because I have EXTENSIVE technology (computer) experience. I've worked with them all my life. Anyways, I went in today and the lady couldn't find me on the application computer. I told her my social security number and she said I had failed the customer relations part of the application. She then proceeded to tell me that I should look at each question (about 50 total) and answer them as good as I could.
When I originally took the application online, it said that I should go through the answers as quickly as possible. The lady kind of contradicted that. So I left in total anger. So now I must resubmit my application and hope they call me, I guess.
The fact that I applied for service rep kind of makes me think. I mean, I don't think a person who works behind a desk fixing peecees has to have any substantial sales/customer relations.
Sorry if this is all a vent, but I really don't understand the point of an application. Sure it tells where you've worked before, but it doesn't exactly tell about YOU. That customer relations part of the deal was a load of crap, which I guess I can't answer honestly because they don't like people that are honest. So this go-around, I'll lie and put all the "nice" things.
