ive used a butt connector before lol. It broke and i had an electrical kit in the trunk. Crimped it on and drove home(idled higher)

20 something years ago my wife (girl friend then) call a 9:00 pm on the way to my house that her car would go. No pedal. She wasnt far from my house so I drove to her rescue and raised the hood oh the old Sirocco and noticed the broke cable. I just idled it up and drove it home slowly while she followed me home. Thats the only throttle cable story I have.sigpic
