    5 series wagon availability?

I saw a 5 series wagon today, the early 90s style. it was black, and had 16" bbs rk's on it with roundel center caps. it looked sooooo good.

I'm gonna be needing something bigger in the future. the 3 series isn't cutting it for a daily driver (obv I don't put it through winter). If I got this wagon, I'd imagine it would be better in the snow than a sedan due to the extra weight over the rear wheels. If I was able to get one I'd probably drive it year round. It would be nice to have a wagon, for my snowboard and stuff.

how available are they in 5 speed? w/the v8? what years were they offered? any good places to find them?

      e34 5er only came in the 525i.
      no v8 in those.

if you get one, get an auto for simplicity.

Not true, I test drove an e34 530i Wagon today

Kind of for shits & giggles. The only stick that you are going to get in an e34 is the 525iT, they didn't offer a stick in V8 models, either the e34 or E39 platforms.

Must have been a swap, or a euro delivery. Officially BMWNA never brought it over to the states.

                Both of you.

Personally, I'd only drive one of the M5 Nurburgring Wagons.
                525i/530i/540i wagons are to anemic.
                Unless you did e39 540i SC'd

would it be possibly to buy an e34 5 speed wagon w/a 6, and maybe swap in a different 6 cyl? or maybe supercharge what's in there?

e39 is the 97-03 or whatever?

I like the styling of the e34 much better.

i am positive bmwna sold e39 540 wagons in the US; i have a bmwNA e39 5series brochure sitting on a shelf across the room. however i read a statistic in roundel that the 540iT's were outsold by the Z8, so they deffinately wont be bringing the v8 wagons back
