The best day of all to own a BMW? Super Bowl Sunday of course. Most people will be glued to a TV somewhere watching what is just another stupid boring football game. If you have seen one, you have seen them all... right?

The highways will be pretty much deserted this coming Sunday afternoon. All the road hog SUVs will be parked at a sports bar or in someone's driveway (mine included) and the highways will look abandoned. Even the local law enforcement folks will be parked for the most part during the "big game"..... Hello, calling all drivers.

My friends this is our day! I am so lucky to live in Northern California as we have the most interesting mix of roads in the country for "spirited driving". Trust me, I have been everywhere and Northern Cali has it all. Maybe that's why I have chosen to live here? This day only comes once a year, don't miss out.

Most cops around here drive around the whole time during the super bowl looking for drunk drivers. But the best time for me is every night after 4am when the bars are closed and they are done looking for drunk drivers. Plus thats when they do shift change and there are none on the roads. Got to love Northern Michigan in the middle of no where.

thats cool i guess, i just grew up with it. i can drive anyday, the superbowl only happens once a year. its kind of a big family thing with us too

When I was young it was fun to be playing football, baseball, or whatever, but I have never been excited about watching others do it on TV. I think the whole deal about Super Bowl Sunday is way too much hype, sorry.

I figured out this open highway deal on SBS in the late 1970's and have been enjoying myself for the last 30 years on this day. California Hwy 49 is one of the most fun roads in the USA and without traffic it's like a perfect race track.

i am with you, but cops are all about pulling people over looking for DUI's on superbowl. i am sure it will be even worse since the cardnals are in it.

I don't think cops will be looking for drunk superbowl fans on twisty mountain roads. There more likely to be casing out places that sell alcohol and snacks.
