as a person living in Germany-- presently owning an e30 M3 and have owned 3 different e30 tourings........
NO-- I dont understand for one second why BMW should have put a lightERweight S14 (that needs more attention and costs" in a heavier body-- in a car designed to be a "truck/family druiser" my 2.7 Alpina motor in my old touring made it fun, but no, I cant understand why a S14 should have been put into it.
so yes, I would love to hear why they should have done it.Comment

because its a great idea, i love the look of tourings, especially slammed on some deep-dish wheels. you may not agree with me, but frankly, i dont give a damn the S14 has more power than the M20 that came in the touring and its lighter... more power+less weight=go faster. an alpina 2.7 would be nice too.as a person living in Germany-- presently owning an e30 M3 and have owned 3 different e30 tourings........

Your logic about an S14-powered is as weak as your bullshit retorts. Why do you think BMW didn't make one? Because it would not have been a huge seller back in the day. Why do you think M GmbH has made 3 (THREE) M-powered estates to date? Because they aren't giant crazy sellers.

You say I know nothing about cars and that's why I don't think an E30 M3iT would sell anywhere, that's cool but totally false.

im glad you know so much about me that you seem to think i know nothing... you fucked up, so you have to resort to childish insults about my career choice, which, by the way, has an almost unlimited earning potential and is in high demand. Marketing directors dont make descisions on what is produced and what isnt based on what they like. they take piles of research collected all over the country/world and put it together to see what the customer wants. just because you dont understand something doesnt mean you need to state your opinion about it. i dont belive a lot of people would buy it. how many people buy a Saleen S7? a Maserati MC-12?
