If it's a track car, fine, you're never going to be racing in the dark anyway.
    exactly.

crack cocaine, and no you can't have any!

They're both low pressure areas. But this one doesn't look retarded and diminish the ability to see the road and other obstacles at night. And I didn't say it's what I wanted to do either, read up a few posts and buy a clue. ;)

it's ugly and if DCC isn't full of shit, that's a low pressure area anyway. Also pretty fucking stupid if it's a street car.

anybody who already has the kit should do this because it just adds to the simplicity. I tested this way with the carbon fiber filter also and the car really felt great pulls just as hard as the current kit, doesn't require a heat shield, weighs less and of course looks cool.

takes about 15 minutes with a grinder or dremel.

you dont have to connect the hose if you dont want to it can just supply the cold air.

I got your last set up and I think its great. I would like to see the hose go to the same place. Thoughts

    1. People saying there is a low pressure at the grill what did you do to measure that? Because that sound like total BS to me. You have a largely flat vertical surface trapped above the bumper that will have a hard time making its way to the and over the hood too. You should IMHO see a ball/wedge shape of high pressure with the faster moving air at the boundary at a much lower pressure do to its vel.

    2. A tube that has very tight elbow waves in it (the the hose from your first kit) is going to do little to slow down flow even with some 90 deg turns as compared to the filter it has to go though too

    3. I would like to see a bell mouth at the initial intake point and after the filter in the afm

I'd like to do something like that down to the foglight, only the filter and pipe locations would be reversed. I don't want my filter that low, although the air is probably better there. the 90 degree bend isn't so great either.

should probably look at what BMW did on the CSL intake, maybe some of the parts could even be used.

that is what we uded to call a "straw". when it rains you will see what i mean. it will collect a lot of road debris there also. the up side is that there is cold air available there though.
