How far would you travel for the right e30?

I'm going to pick up an e30 I've sealed the deal on sometime within the next few weeks. How far would you pick up and travel for the right car?

I'd have it delievered to me. Even if it's a free rear windshield.

    I like road trips :)

Pretty far if it is exactly what I am looking for. Any hints for us what yours is?

I would say anywhere if I'm serious about it but haven't seen, test drove the car. If I've already done that, or have had someone else do that, I'd have it transported

Once everything is finalized and money is sent I'll speak up.

To me, the idea is to find a great condition shell and build it yourself.

If you have the time and the space to do so.

What if the price was right and everything was already done?

Sadly I'm going to convert it from 5 speed to an auto...GASP

Autos are generally beat to shit I've learned. I'll only convert it if a certain someone can't figure out how to drive stick.

Anywhere, I would have driven mine back from Vero Beach, FL but I ran the numbers and it was going to be cheaper to ship it to me. And I wouldn't have to worry about a breadown/flat tire/etc.

I already paid for the car - thanks though.

95k on the motor - 30k on the timing belt.
No rust - near perfect interior.
                      Everything works

I'm going to fly up to chicago and pick it up from schnell3r then crash at my buddy's dorm at the university of illinois.

If I can afford it and the car will make the trip back I don't mind driving it back, part of the fun. If its in Europe, I'll do that too, make it into a vacation and ship it back to the East Coast, visit Spartanberg and drive it home.

mine was only about 8 hours away.

seemed longer with no radio, one window that didn't close all the way, and a shredded guibo. acceleration in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, were light. once i hit 5th gear i knew i made the right decision.
