An e30, no. A REAL investment like a porsche or ferrarri, thats a different story

I just sold a guy my 325is. He flew down here from St louis MO, drove it all the way back. 24+ hour haul.

Too bad I totaled that E30 in Dec, it was a sweet E30
Man, 2 months ago I went to LA from Fresno to pick up my e30... I wanted a stick:)
You took that car before I had a chance to see it on Craigslist.

I bought my car sight unseen (well in person unseen) I live in Washington State and the car was in Mississippi. I talked to the PO (RCWells) on the phone for about a month or so and I even talked to one of his good buddies about the car. I needed to sell my truck before I bought the car and he gave me a chance to sell my truck since I was the first to really show some serious interest in the car. Stand up guy and I was really pleased with the purchase. If this guy ever has something for sale you need, it will be what he says its it. Buying an E30 for almost 3 or 4 times the blue book value was a little nerve wracking without even driving it, but I was willing to pay for what I was looking for. Trying to find an almost mint, in my opinion, E30 was kind of hard. After all a vehicle is only worth what someone will pay for it. If I ever need to sell or want to sell my car though he will be the first person I contact before posting it.

I drove one back from Phoenix, and I live in Minneapolis (was a $1500 starter that I sold for $2300 3 months later)
I went to Milwaukee for a garage queen 325is w/ mint red leather. 5 hours away.

Cars around here are tough to find w/ no rust.

The right car at the right price, though? ... I'd pay extra NOT to have it shipped. I love the road trip.

When I purchased my STi, I flew my friend and myself to Boston and drove back to So.Cal. in the span of under 50hrs (from time of dropoff at airport to arrival at parking spot in apartment complex - includes flight, pit stops, food stops, etc.)

I'd do that for an e30 if it was the right one, although I might have trouble finding a friend for this...

Back in the day I would drive anywhere to buy the right car. Im from new england, I took the i80 all the way out to Nevada to buy a car in 02'. In 04' I drove 1200 miles to south florida.

Nowadays, no more than 50-60 miles. I have a wife and baby at home.
