Well, I'm in indy and I bought mine out of Cali, sight unseen. I probably got lucky, but it was totally worth it. For the right price, I'd say anywhere.Leave a comment:

Bought a urq out of Mission Viejo, Ca / bought a E36 out of Oakland, Ca / guy from Plano, Texas bought my 87 4kq / guy from Hershey, Pa bought my 84 4kq / guy from Newport Beach, Ca bought my E30. I'm in the PNW so I guess there's a whole lot of traveling going on for the right car.Leave a comment:

I traveled all the way to germany for my e30,..... one day it will come back with me.
and traveled all the way to the U.S.A. and had my 1955 chevy sent here----so yeah I would travel pretty far for the right car.--
but if it was free, then I would want it delivered to me- or atleast driven halfway!Leave a comment:

I flew to Portland and drove it back down to the SF Bay Area. That's like what, around 700 miles?Leave a comment:

My car was about 20 minutes away and it died twice and got towed home.Leave a comment:

mine was only about 8 hours away.
seemed longer with no radio, one window that didn't close all the way, and a shredded guibo. acceleration in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, were light. once i hit 5th gear i knew i made the right decision.Leave a comment:

If I can afford it and the car will make the trip back I don't mind driving it back, part of the fun. If its in Europe, I'll do that too, make it into a vacation and ship it back to the East Coast, visit Spartanberg and drive it home.Leave a comment:

Anywhere, I would have driven mine back from Vero Beach, FL but I ran the numbers and it was going to be cheaper to ship it to me. And I wouldn't have to worry about a breadown/flat tire/etc.Leave a comment:
