    Agreed. Use your other hand and reach over. Everyone reaches for the front of the door in vain and confused. It doesn't help that E30's don't have the best lighting situation.

    I was considering moving the doorhandle up front where the crank handle would be since I have lots of houndstooth fabric...would that be cool?

        i was actually wondering about this the other day. it makes sense, but maybe they shouldve changed the location for US models... then we'd have one more euro part to drool over

            I just tell everyone that the e30 was built for track driving more than street so the handle is in the middle of the door because it forces you to turn your body in the correct direction to exit quicker in the event something goes wrong. It's complete bs but it sounds cool, lol!
