          I'm averaging 20mpg with my untuned 24V.

I hope that number goes up when I do get it tuned.

I've been able to squeeze out 239 miles on my 14.5 gallon tank, I filled up around 11 gallons though.

              jesus. somethings def. wrong.

Is the OBC MPG read out usually accurate? That's what I've been going by. I need to do it manually and check I guess.

I get the same. 26 if I really romp on it. No OBC, straight odometer/fill up calculations for me. Its great compared to my full size Chevy truck - 13mpg or so city, 18 highway - mid 15 combined. I can granny my R6 along my commute to a whopping 52mpg though, so summer time means the bike wins.

I get 23-25 mixed driving. San Diego is a little hilly too. 16x8 wheels and decently sticky tires. I should go back to bottlecaps, I always got a few extra days of driving when I had them.

lol my obc says 29-32 mpg avg, way inaccurate, especially with diff injectors

I get like 22 mpg in the 325is, but it has the 410 diff, so Im not sure how much that negatively impacts the fuel economy. It is definitely a little dissapointing, though.

I replaced the air filter, changed distributor cap, O2 sensor, rotor, ignition wires, spark plugs, re-timed, oil changed, tire pressure ok , I can't figure out what the problem is! I drive pretty well also, I never accelerate when it isn't necessary.

Does anybody know what the problem could be?
How about the temp sender for the ECU. I know it has an affect on mixture when cold. Not sure if being faulty would cause a rich mixture at normal temps however.

Also, he meant temperature not as in how you warm the car up, but how warm the car gets. A low temp thermostat will make the car run cooler, sometimes too cold.

My 318is with cams, markD chip, and exhaust would get 25-30 mixed hwy/city

and outrun my brothers stock 325i (gets around 20mpg)

                              M42 ftw!!1!!

Mine is 19mpg 100% city. Original spark plug wires, distributor and injectors. Odometer doesnt work so I have to trust my OBCs calculations. I thought it was hilarious when I was watching a cadillac esclade hybrid commercial. It was trying to make people think that it got better gas mileage than a toyota prius. Like they were in the same market. Anyway they somehow claimed it got 19mpg (clearly the prius gets more than that, and even the escalade gets 20) anyway since they said 19, I was like DAAAAMN! My 21 year old sports car gets better gas mileage!!!

BTW, how long does it take for you to crank the car before it starts? Mine takes a while, and sometimes it wont start at all unless I give it a little gas.
