    Sweat the small stuff

Fellas, hows it going? Im new to this forum, pretty awesome so far. Im posting to get some advice on a few minor annoyances i have with my 90is. For starters ive got this noise coming from under the drivers side dash. In my opinion it sounds like a mix of valve clatter and the sounds an antenna tv makes when is has no reception. Im thinking its valve noise coming through the brake booster or something going on behind the speedo. I get the smooth sound of a reving engine until about 2200 rpm. and then this prominent noise. Any ideas. My other problem is hard cold starts. Ive gotta put my foot into it a little when cold starting and then its seems to start up on like 2 cylinders and the others gradually fire. So it misfires for about 40 seconds and then it runs smooth as a top. Ive check out vacuum. running oem plugs, Just adjusted the valves. I dunno. . . Also, word on the streets in the pnw is that there is a big bmw meet somewhere around kirkland WA. like twice a week in some parking garage. Anyone know anything about that or maybe about other meets in my area. Thanks a ton fellas.

This isn't going to go well.

Is your car a 318 or 325 is?

Hard start issues are best solved using the search function.

As far as your valve clatter/tv static noise I have no idea.

Did you check for vacuum leaks? Sometimes they are so bad that the computer can't compensate for all the extra air. Maybe a bad temp sensor? Check the resistance using the Bentley.

How long is your commute? I had a similar problem with starting when it was colder out and found that I had fouled my plugs.
