E30SPDFRK hit a homer with his post chock full 'o win.

Somehow I missed this thread so thanks to whoever bumped it up.

Wish I had some pics of my old E28 535is. It wasn't half bad, with that BMP "Euro M5 Styling Kit" (cheezy name, I know), 17x8.5" Kailine wheels, H&Rs, Bilsteins, MM exhaust... other shit I don't remember. Think I sold it back in '97.

I just dug this up - here's a video clip of my old M5 at WOT, top of 3rd gear. It was running a UUC SS rear exhaust, Fahey track pipe, and no cats.

Here's a weak shot of mine shortly after I got it. Since I'll be keeping it officially it's getting euro bumpers, 16x8 / 16x9 RSs and a B35 this summer! I can't wait.

What color is that? It almost looks like delphin on my monitor.

It's amazing what 16" Style 5's do to E28's, it's definitely a great, inexpensive wheel for a DD. No doubt euro bumpers will look great, but a simple drop makes those aluminum bumpers not look bad at all.

Looking forward to seeing shots of the end product.

Trey, it's Diamantschwarz actually. Thanks for the kind words! The 16x8 Style 5s are definitely a nice choice for a daily driver. They fit really well and look pretty nice... they are also tough as hell.

I am dying to get the euro bumpers on and finish building the B35 but this turbo Volvo project got in the way and now I'm hooked... Soon though!

I used to really love Austins car but lately it looks too much like a toy to me. WAY too much stretch... I think these cars need meatier tires. No offense of course! It's still beautiful.

                    ^ Very much agreed.

DS looks good on E28's, I see more Schwarz 086 E28's than DS E28's.

Does anyone know who the owner of this car is? I went to Bellevue Community College a long while ago and there was a guy that went there with a car very similar looking to this. I talked to him a couple of times, and his name may have been Brent, but that could be very wrong as well. I see a WA plate and that looks like lake Washington. I know he was on mye28.com and I'd like to contact him again.

I think his name is Evan. AFAI can remember, he r3ved it into a guard rail about 2 years ago and really hasn't posted much since. See here:

Correct, it was Evan. His car is actually all back together now and has euro bumpers! It looks to be coming along nicely. His brother has a sweet Volvo 242 turbo on RSs too. :)

I was searching for SS exhausts and found this thread. I've probably already posted this up...

                              Here's mine.
Pics from NC, I've since moved to MD

She's still "in work", but should be done soon (finally)
Then I can post some updated pics. All i can say is, never again. The car is worth it, but until i have a real shop, no way can i do a complete refurb like this again. Gotta stick to weekend jobs/maintenance, rather than rebuilding the whole car at once. I've been working for 2 years on this, and mission creep has been a killer.

                              Euro center console/AC delete
                              ALL suspension bushings
Z4 SSK rebuild (feels awesome, so tight w/new bushings)
                              3.73 LSD
                              17" Style 5s
                              Euro Lights
                              Euro Bumpers
ALPINA steering wheel, front airdam (rep)
                              Glass moonroof (saab)
                              Underseat battery

Pretty much just putting it back together now.
