    Quick Getrag 260 question

    I just got off the phone with the yard, I'm getting a trans out of a '91 325i and I have a late '88 325is 3/88.

Are there any differences between the two? I was thinking maybe where the shift selector mounted was slightly different, but wasn't sure?

And they are palleting my S52 as we speak. :nice:

3/88 should have the same shifter carrier as the 91. it changed in 87.

Sorry for the threadjack--seems like your question was answered,-- but my Getrag has a bracket that comes forward from the right rear of the trans and ends right before the crossmember. It has a hole in the end that looks like there is supposed to be a rubber bumper or something attached to the end, but mine is missing. I can also see where a small circle of paint has worn off the crossmember, like from trans vibration/movement. Realoem.com doesn't even show this part. Anyone know of this and what it's referred to or possibly a part #?

It's called a "rubber buffer". Real OEM Part number 11811132527. This link should show it.
