Same here, its an M20; I dump whatever I can find, Shell seems to last longer but I can be imagining it, doesn't offset the low cost of Costco gas anyways. I just tell myself I get the engine revs high enough to blow out whatever deposits are forming. The cars I can't afford to fix gets the better stuff.

I don't know of any stations around Portland that aren't on that list.

I try to only buy Shell/Chevron. For a while I was buying Arco gas and my car was running like shit. I switched to Chevron 87 before I bought the chip and it was running better than it did on Arco premium. After I ordered my chip I cycled in Chevron 91 and it's been running great ever since.

the conoco phillips refinery here fucked up a bunch of peoples cars.. peoples engines literally were dying within a day or so of filling up from the gas stations they serve (like costco). They ended up having to shell out some $$$ to replace a bunch of engines.

          BP makes Arco. 'Nuff said.

            k. Well I thought I'd raise the awareness on this subject. Also, that's still not a topic pertaining to top tier gas; and I never asked a question, so I don't know what you're referring to. If it really bothers you that much, ignore this topic. It's not like I didn't apologize for a duplicate topic in my original post

It may run, but not to it's full potential. Doesn't matter what engine you have. It will continue to wear your vehicle down.

If you want the good stuff for the M then visit VP Fuel in Pacific Beach (Mission Blvd) for 100 octane. When I splurged in the M it ran like it was on crack.
