Man, I really want an iX...but only for the winter! I don't have the $ to afford two E30s and I want RWD most of the year. What a dilemma.

Seriously, this is just not true. My iX with all-seasons is unbelievable in the snow, and even an E36 with snows just can't compare. Trust me, I've compared.

Funny when it snows and the roads suck I am always tempted to take out my 325iX running on 4 Nokian RSI snows. It just grabs the road and won't let go like a nice little ho.

                      ix owns, period.

Been driving it back and forth from NJ/VT this past winter. Anyone in the region knows we have had a great year for snow. Driving up and down 87 I have been the only car on the road with tow trucks pulling suvs and want to be 4wheel drive cars in the ditch more then once.

Every time I get in my car in the winter after a huge snow storm in the morning and see that the jack ass that plows my 1/4 mile drive way didn't plow yet, Im that thats ok and tank right through it like nothing. Love it every time.

I used to drive a 98 Audi A4 Quattro. I miss it a lot but this IX is more of a tank in the snow I think.

Never had a problem with the a4 at all just not as good in the snow. Still fun though.
