    Lubro Moly???

Does anyone have any experience with the Lubro Moly Engine Flush? I'm considering buying the "package" from BavAuto since I have horribly neglected my oil for the past 6-8 months. I know I screwed up and am way past due which is why I want to remove as much built up sludge and gunk from the engine as possible. I searched on here and found someone else asked this question a year ago but got no answer.

Do it and post up. Bavauto would not steer you wrong.

How about 1/4 quart of ATF 100 miles before your oil change, it'll do the same thing.

I heard about this as well and I know it's safer, but with my current schedule the extent of my driving is only maybe a couple miles a day, at that rate it would take me over a month to get it to work correctly.

So it takes a month, it's not going to hurt anything.

I've read, for what its worth: drain a quart of your engine oil. Add a quart of ATF and let it idle/run for about 10 minutes, then drain. Never tried it, but am going to do it before my next oil change. On a related note, I'll never use Castrol High Mileage oil again. It took a brand new head and made it sludgy in a few thousand miles.

I've used the lubro-moly. My anecdotal account says it led to a slightly smoother idle FWIW. I like their other products as well. I'd buy the kit and run everything.

Lemme know how putting the drain plug back in with oil still flowing full force goes. Better lay down some boxes. I've used lubro moly, restore and BG. You never really notice a difference with that stuff. BG did seem to smooth things out but that's not an additive it's an actual procedure. Most of the additives are snake oil.

It takes some practice to do cleanly, but it's not that hard to do.

                          Erik

I dumped a diff in my parents driveway one time. It was like world war 3. I was told it was empty by the owner and not even thinking about it I split it and left a huge stain. After laying down kitty litter, pressure washing with degreaser, and scrubbing my fingers off, there is still a stain. I lay out canvas' nowadays, and try to do things as neat a possible.

So what materials does a motor have that a tranny doesn't.

I'll up your idiot and go go straight to retard, but not full retard.......

lol, you could just use turpentine. The M20 is invincible.

It's not a big deal, ATF will not eat your engine. Your running it in a 1/5 dillution, it's none acidic, your seals aren't going to melt away. I just don't see the benefit. I mean obviously cleaner is better but why does atf do anything cleaning wise.
