    Injector swap info

Has anyone tried the Bosch "155" style injectors in their engines? What did you modify if anything to make them work? What results did you get with them?

really just drivability, it makes for a smoother throttle response and acceleration

So a 19lb injector swap will work with my Jim C chip or do you have to get it reprogrammed for the bigger injectors?

Wow sorry, I just realized I totally thread jacked this. I'm sorry.

              I ran them for awhile.

Direct bolt in no mods to the injector or rail and clips still work.

I used them first with the stock DME no chip, they ran well after the initial adaption. The newer nozzle design seems to make it run smoother.

I then went with MS and they ran great, then went with a SC and a retune they worked well but ended up too small so I went with a 28# set just like them( I have the 19# ones available for sale...). They are working well but these did not work with the stock clips but aren't really needed anyways.

no that chip will work just fine. The injectors will work without the chip too, but its better to have the chip as there will be more fuel.

19lb injector swap is a great upgrade. I did this and the M30 afm and i just got the 19lb injector chip from another member. The car runs much better with the Mark D 19lb injector chip than it does with just a regular mark D performance chip.

it will work, but the ECU will lean them out eventually, with the 19lb injector chip it will run smoother and better.

Sorry guys, I have been gone for a for a few days this last week and the Net connection wasn't very good.

This style injector has a design nozzle that looks good and there are many different types of injectors in the "155" series. I think this is the smallest set (0 280 155 746) I have at 199.7 CC/MIN. I was just wondering what had happened when others had tired them. I'll post what I find out after running a set or two of them myself.

As others have said, the 19# give better response, and apparently also more oomph. I've only had experience with the 19lbs and a modified M30 AFM, but from what results we obtained in my friend's car, it made more power if you stomped it in 2nd gear. Also, it seemed that the mpg actually increased, theoretically from the 4 pintle design.
