Thanks for all of the positive feedback! It really is a clean car, and the interior's almost mint. No collision damage on the fender--must be a reflection. I do like the factory mudflaps. My 2002 has factory 'flaps too, so it's following the trend.
I'd like to get involved in a few local BMW events. I've reinstated my BMWCCA membership after returning from overseas and have done a good bit with the 2002 community.
Oh, and about the telephone... I guess there's not as much Vortex cross-pollination as I'd thought. A long explanation awaits. Before I got the 325, I was considering MKII VWs (had an '85 GTI in college). On the Vortex they tend to drop their cars to oil-pan-trashing levels. The requisite photo shows a cell phone not clearing the front air dam. If I laugh alone at myself, does that make me crazy?
