    Cracked my lip and splitter.

Happened last weekend on the g2g. Been too busy to fix it.

Jacked the car up today and fixed the crack. The splitter was barely hanging together, and the lip crack was pretty small. You could barely see it with the splitter on.

Welded the cracks up, smoothed out the visable side of the lip where the crack was, and repainted it with touch up. Came out nicely. Once the splitter is on no one will know :)

Happened leaving a Tacotime parking lot. There was a big dip just before the ramp, I didn't stand a chance.

Also took the chance to touch up other stone chips on the front lip/valance, and install my brake ducts and backing plates for the ducts.

did you paint the lip yourself? the reason i ask is that it looks like who ever painted it didnt use epoxy primer. but just sprayed it with paint.

The white paint under the lachs is epoxy primer. It for the most part cracked cleanly, while the lachs paint kinda flaked around the crack.

                    Everyone complains about cracking lips/spiltters/etc...

I'll never understand it. I don't even have a scratch on my splitter, and I live in Chicago. We have the worst potholes, dips, cracks, uneven pavement, shitty steep driveways, and curbs in the country, thanks to lazy, awful city workers and the use of the most road salt in the nation. Just buy stiffer springs already and save yourself the aggravation.

The dip before the sharp hump was deeper then I have ground clearance. Stiffer springs would not of helped in the least.

The only time I scrape is going up steep ramps. 90% of the ramps here is town are 45º angles or worse.

Yes you can go sideways to get up them without a problem, BUT that is not always an option. Sometimes you have morons hauling ass behind you that don't realize you are going to turnoff into a parking lot at 5mph. Sometimes someone is already on the ramp leaving, thus there is no space to go sideways etc.

If you were the only car on the road, you would be fine. But your not, and thats that.
