That is one of the saddest things I have seen in a long time. The 2 gen vette is my favorite car of all time. To see one rotting away like that is a travesty, to any car guy.Originally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.

Maybe this will bring the moral up a bit
...even though I hate these cars. Holy shit what a barn find.
88 Iroc-Z28 with 4 miles and the sticker still on the window!!
More Here.
This needs to be turned into a barn find thread.

I wasn't familiar with the "Fuelie" option so i looked it up...
"The 1965 introduction of the 425HP 396 c.i. big block was ultimately the harbinger of doom for the Rochester Fuel injection system. The 396 425HP option cost $145. The 327-370HP Fuelie option cost $500. Few people could justify spending $355 more, for 55 hp less. When less than a thousand fuelie cars were built in 1965, Chevy stopped the program."
Interesting concept... more money for less power.
Still more then double the power of my car though...

The owner of that vette should be donkey punched! I infuriates me when people hoard cars (etc) and let them rot. I bugged a guy every week for 2years before he would consider selling me his 63 vw bus (full of old vaccums and mice)! Kept saying "I'm gonna fix 'er up and drive cross country" Jackasses!09 BMW 328xi touring 6spd

I rent 1/2 of a 2 car garage right now for storage and wrenching etc.
The other half has a VW bus in it an a hoard of bus parts. All covered in dust. I've rented it for 5 months now and still never met the guy. It needs some work, but all in all, not bad condition. I want to just start restoring it little by little to see when he will notice.
Or better yet, he finally swings by to a garage filled with a fresh VW bus all ready to go.
...yea maybe later.

Yes, hoarders suck. We should form a gang and go around like repo men, reclaiming people's rust buckets out of their front yards.
There is a 242gt with the grey paint and orange gt stripes near my friend's shop. It is just sitting there rotting away. Every once in a while someone will ask him to sell it. He's been planning to "fix it up" for his son for the past 10 years or so. As far as I know it has never moved. By the time he gets to it there wont be much left.
There is also a field on a back road near Trumansburg, NY that has no less than 25 cars. Some of them must be from the 30s and 40s. Maybe next time I go back I'll try to get pics.
