    Which valance/front spoiler is this?

Hey i just scored this for my car.. 87 325is 2door
I got it off of another e30 (4 door)...
Can anyone tell me which front spoiler it is and if its stock or aftermarket?

    When i got it..

Fitting it and repairs.. This is how it looks on my ride before we paint it

looks like a stock early model es/is valence. I know there is something about the slots in the middle that make it "rare", but I can't remember the details off hand.

ooh la la.. rare? See if you can find out for me. :hitler:. I got this valance, 2 mint back lights, a hood shock, a door lock, glove compartment pins, and 2 crappy roundels for $150. Good deal?

BTW I'm gonna customize the roundels to match my car.

i looked at the 86's that you are referring to but they dont have the 2 slots underneath the mid section..

I can't decide of you misread his post or not. The airdam you picked up is a stock 325es like BeirBrenner said. The airdam itself is not rare but the mounting bracket is rare primarily because it's NLA and nobody makes an aftermarket one.

The difference between the "es" and the "is" are the two extra slots in the middle.

These guys are correct, it's an early version 86 style spoiler. The reason those center vents are there is because the 325i's came with an oil cooler. Fitting that early spoiler on your 325i means that you're blocking airflow to your cooler!

i've always figured that the earlier 'es' valence is a bit rarer than the later 'is' one since the early one was offered for a shorter time. I've seen a number of 'es' that got the later 'is' one. I prefer the looks of the earlier 'es' valence myself.

you can get fogs for it from bavauto i believe. if you want to you can also get some aftermarket fogs and custom them in, if you do this take your time and think it out, i didnt and mine are mounted quite shittily, like a good bit of the work some 16 year old kid did to my car... *sigh*

                      edit:

cant but just see them, this is really the only pic i have of my car from 5 years ago
                      stock fogs

aftermarket hellas, in shitty mounting configuration 1 (of 3 so far)

Is the one in your sig a photo shop? If not do you have a build thread for that open center?
