Oh please, oh please let the turbo gods shine down on Munich. I would love to have a twin turbo 4 banger 1 series. -
This has to be my favorite line in that whole article:
"BMW's in-house tuning division wants to recapture the magic of the original E30 M3"
I would love to see a turbo'd inline 6 to power the next M3 get back to more of BMW's roots instead of all this V8 stuff. I love the V8 engines but sentimentally the inline 6 would be such a better choice!Comment

Traditionally, the M variants arrive about a year after the new models are introduced, so expect the next M3 and 1 Series M to debut sometime in 2014.Comment

I think I'd like a turbo 4, but anything with more cylinders in an M car should be NA sixes in the M3 and sixes or eights in the M5 imho. Of course, they could put just about any engine in it if they cut at least 1000 lbs off and I would be happy.Comment
