    speedometer stoped working.

after I reset the miles after getting gas, the odometer stopped working. i first thought it was just the miles that you can reset, the trip miles or whatever, but then I started watching the actual miles and it was not working either. any suggestions as to what might be wrong and what I can do to fix it?

So your odometer doesn't work after a reset when getting gas or the speedometer?

There is a difference you know?

I don't know what the fuck you mean, but I'm pretty sure you are talking about the odometer. Best of luck with that, it's probably the smallest gear in the odometer than finally broke.

Atomic, that's a bitchin' manatee in your avatar.

              Search.

If you are unable to do that, buy a Bentley manual.

If you are unable to do that, remove the cluster, then remove the odometer, figure out which gears are broken (likely the smallest gear in that unit,) and replace that gear or gears. Inspect the cluster and odometer itself as it may only be a broken solder.

Ebay will be your best bet for sets of gears, BUT you need to know what sizes you need depending on which cluster you have (there are several options and only one size of each gear will work)...

And search or dig in it. It is quite simple to fix once you figure which gears you need...

Should mention that as well, if the car is in motion when you push the reset button you will likely break one or more of the plastic gears.

There is a guy in Spain that is great to deal with when getting them on Ebay, around $15.00 shipped for a set. If you get them at the dealer expect around $25.00 each...
