miller performance W.A.R chip anyone seen this?

    Uh no they are not. There is no OBD1 system on e30's unless they have a 92+ motor in them, ie v8, m50/s50 etc.

        E30's have an on board diagnostic function, true? Anything with a Motronic 1.1 and up ECU can display fault codes, that is on board diagnostics. Since they are not OBD-II, they are by default OBD-I. OBD-I is not a set standard, it was not referred to as OBD-I until OBD-II was standardized. Therefore, any car with self diagnostic capabilities that is not OBD-II is catagorized as OBD-I.



        So the Miller WAR chip will work with E30's. And most pre-95 Motronic cars.

            this would be sweet, i wouldnt have to hastle with installing MS, not that i think itd be that big of a hastle.

                unless you have a tune stored on there for race gas, there is no difference between a "power" tune and an "economy" tune since that is already built into the 3D map of any modern EFI system. the "power" tune just uses the full load area of the map while economy uses the part throttle/cruise map.

                Also lets be honest here.. nobody driving an E30 is ever going to need the valet option.

                    Didn't see any other thread so I figured I'd post.

                    I just ordered a W.A.R + MAF setup today, will post my experience with it next week. May not be a flexible as megasquirt but the fact I can simply plug the darn thing in was a nice bonus.

                              i think they might be telling you what you want to hear. when i talked to them, they told me MAF was the way to go and MAP wasn't nearly as good as MAF.

                              on a side note, did anyone else notice the price difference in the 'combo' and just the MAF kit?

                              299$ for a maf kit. includes chip, MAF and housing

                              350$ for the war chip.

                              599$ for a maf/war combo. and you SAVE 50$ on the combo. includes MAF, houseing and WAR chip. (350+300=650)


                              the chip for the 'maf kit' is listed at 110$, so the maf/war combo should be 540$ since they arent giving you 2 chips. (350+300-110=540)
