I love my eta. I'd take one over an "i" car any day. Even with the 2.7 litre they are great drivers.

I've owned several of both and the etas have been hands down better daily drivers. "i" cars are too slow to me to be any better. They dont get near the mileage either and it makes me miss the 2.7 litre torque. My last eta got 33-35 mpg no matter how hard I drove it.

It had 250k on it when the crappy Bremi ignition rotor exploded with less than 5k on it. That was the justification I needed to put in another motor I had laying around that I'd wanted to try for a while.

I hear you, I feel the same way about my S52. Which is now in my former eta.

                    .
WHAT? My eta is SO slow an I would rape it. And i only get 22mpg combined freeway city. My driving is aggressive but mixed, it's not like I redline it all day long. Not that it's hard with only 4.5k to play with...

That reminds me of my ETA. Aside from the burnout I enjoyed creeping past my neighbors house in neutral bouncing off the limiter with the fart can muffler. He didn't enjoy it as much as i did

I can see 26-31mpg but not 35mpg shit not even 33 unless you dont have a/c run cruise everywhere and never have passengers...

Yeah. My eta weighed in around 2600 lbs with the M20 in it, had no A/C, no P/S, I drive 99.998% highway and never have passengers .

This is starting to turn into a "do you love your ETA" thread, lol. Oh well, could be worse. The day of that pic we were "trying" to blow it up, but never happened

I would take MY eta over a 325i any day. But not an old eta.

^^Mine was modified with little stuff when it was a 2.7 liter. Now it's got an S52, but that's just because it was taking up room in the shop when the customer decided he wanted a 3.0 M54 instead of the 3.2.

I really hate defending the eta when they get so much hatred, but I've had nothing but great experiences with mine in the past.
