Tools, preferances what company.

I prefer Snap-On, but my budget dictates Craftsman. I was at Home Depot yesterday and they did have some nice 72 pitch 5 degree ratches. Does anyone have these? Husky's are lifetime warranty so thats a probono.

I had been collecting Facom and Hazets while in Germany but they are expensive here in the US.

Who buys used tools here anyone? Where do you buy them from.

Im like you, I can afford Crafstman and they also have the warranty.

I seem to be able to snap Husky extensions and adapters really easy. I also dont get them because the Home Depots here seem to be going broke, empty shelves and all.

Snap-On, Sidchrome(yeah right). KC seem to be alright too, for the handyman on a budget.

I see used tools all the time at the auctions i attend for work. lots of good bargains. just general auctions, deceased estates and such. dead people dont need tools.

Snap-On... My dad's good friends with most of the guys on the trucks around here and sometimes stuff will "fall off" in our driveways. :)

Yeah those are going way to high as discussed in my rule of wheel thumb.

Snap-On are great but I don't want to pay the driver $50 everytime he drives by a week. I look on ebay, but I need a better price guide as I don't want to pay over retail of course for used items.

You'd be amazed how much Snappy will bargain if you hassle him. sometimes 10-20% knocked off.
But i know what you mean.

One of our techs really likes MAC... but i've never used his tools... so i duno

ACE Mostly, lifetime warrenty and cheaper the Craftsmen.
I buy Craftsmen for specialty tools that ACE dosn't have, plus ACE is closer.

No ACE hardware around here. MAC never used them, but I imagine that they are nice as well as Cornwell.

Hazet are very nice and good tools, I have some Hazet tools in my shopp, but mostly are craftman, the last set("carritos"--->those tool boxes with little wheels) fully of different tools are "MATADOR", we imported them directly from Germany, the tools are nice, and good quality....but craftman is more in my wallet options! :D

I just stick to Craftsman, since they are much easier for those on a tight budget (like me), I can buy them with my Sears card,
and if and when they break, you just take them back and get new ones. Sears is also like 3 blocks from my house.

In all the years I've been using Craftsman tools, I've only managed to strip out a ratchet.

My father used to work for Snap-On decades ago, we have a huge lot of Snappy stuff around here.

I'd say anything with the life warranty is game, if they weren't reasonably tough they wouldn't be in business.

I've got a toolbox with the biggest set they make in it. They's my traveling tools (for junkyard fun, etc.).
