As long as it's not off the road for a project that takes far longer then it should, all 4 of mine were my only vehicles at the time and I DO NOT drive lightly at all. As soon as mines back on the road I'm selling my caddy to buy turbo parts.First: 1984 318i
Second: 1987 325
Third: 1987 325is
Current: 1990 325i (Soon To Be 335i)

My 91 325i has been my DD for nearly five years. I bought it as a birthday present in 2004 ($2100) with 142K on the clock.. It now has 189K, and I have only put oil changes (4-8K apart generally), a cold start gasket, steering rack/control arms (yeah, no shit!), a few pieces of new sheet metal, oil drain plug, cat-back exhaust, brake pads, one rotor, and a couple of interior trim pieces. It still has the same fucking spark plugs and air cleaner! I never put snow tires on it either! It likes to be abused!
I hope my '92 M42 'vert is as tough...........if I ever get it rebuilt."I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death."

Been DDing them since 2004. It's just a standard, bottom class BMW from the 80's. I don't think it should be considered anything more unless it's extravagantly modded or extremely rare for one reason or another.
My first one was donated to my lil bro, and I'm daily driving my second one. It's slammed, wheels tucking and rubbing, pretty aggressive for the streets, but I still DD it. I wouldn't garage any car that I own.Claus Luthe is my hero.

I have a 90 325iS and a 91 325i. The 1990 is going to be my DD when I finish fixing it and getting it sorted. Nothing major is wrong with it. I have changed the dash the and seats. I bought some good basket weave centers from Teaguer the other day. I am in the process of fixing the plastic bumpers and I have to take a couple of dents out of the body. I also still want to do all of the general maintenance like the timing belt and changing all of the fluids. My 1991 is a parts car.sigpic
