Does having a parts car as well count as having 2 cars? Either way, my 87 325ia has been my family's DD for 22 years and only for about 2years was it garaged (until I turned 15) ~275k and running strong, all original main engine parts (block, tranny, head, etc).

EDIT: I've officially owned the car since I was 18 and it's been my only car since then, so that's 6 years now.

I voted that I had 2 E30's. One the DD and the other a "project" but its not really a project, its just my funtime weekend car. Theres really not a "project" essence about it. Its just my weekend balls to the wall car.

I have 1 that I DD along with the E34 wagon.

My dad has 2, I that he DDs and 1 that is garaged most of the winter.

And 2 more parts car between us.

Not sure where that puts me though...

Up until December 2008 my car was my daily - usually 50 miles or so a day, much more than that earlier in the year. With my new job I've been taking public transit and I'm about to start riding my bike to work since the good weather is here. Because of this, I can't really claim the E30 as my DD any longer.

Nowadays I've only driven my car on the weekends - mainly a 20-30 minute drive to circulate the fuilds and charge the battery. Come to think of it, I haven't put 1,000 miles on it since January 1

My e30 is the only ride I have, except for my bicycles (which are worth more than my car) :(

The 84e is the gf DD.
                        The 88iS is a project.

I have never driven the 88 more than 500ft in a straight line(with a huge cloud of tire smoke behind it:D

The 84 gets driven daily and is a lot of fun to drive. It has a few extras that make it fun.
