fender fix time, nothing like free ;)

so i tackled the fender issue today, it was my first time doing a fender, i finished in all of about 3 hours, not too bad. But, the inner parts of the rocker panel of the car (the fender part) is pretty worked, and I could not get this fender to line up right for the LIFE of me, oh well, this is all temporary, im not worried too much about it now, Id like to thank Jay from HMS (jflower on r3v) for the fender, he just gave me a free one, the color is pretty damn close if not perfect too, so all in all this was free. here's pics:

better than it was, that's for sure :)

1/4 mile, bounced over the railing of the bridge I was on, down 30 ft. across 2 lanes of traffic, into a parking lot, no damage luckily, at all...

yea, imagine if it landed in a convertible after it went over the bridge.

btw... is that my rim in your avatar by any chance?

It's just friggin' amazing that your car didn't suffer any worse than it did. And hats off to jflower for donor fender. With the exception of the minor scuffing at the leading edge of the driver's door your car looks good once again.

You gotta love the E30 brotherhood :D

like I said... the inner workings of the fender's rocker panel are worked, and the fender itself was not perfect, the combination of the two made it impossible to line everything up, and I dont know how to fix the inner parts. its alright, one day when I have money ill have it fixed properly and sprayed.
