Hot tanked IM bearings

IM shaft bearing after hot tanking
machinist said he checked them and they were fine but for how long is my question! Do I get them replaced anyway? Does the hot tanking ruin them immediately or slowly over time? They look great so does the hottanking destroy them immediately or slowly over time do the erode? Could
mine have survived the tank or not?

Called machinist and he told me he didn't hot tank the block, He took 6 months to do the work but had the knowledge to see those bearing and did the right thing! So Never mind on this, so relieved!!!! Lets go rebuild!

Depends on the chemical, some are safe for aluminum.

Either way, if you are spending this time/money on a rebuild, why skimp on something as important oil pressure?
