    Exhaust Y pipe restrictions

This most likely goes for general vehicles, but I’ve got an 87 bmw 325is, and am wanting to throw the Magnaflow 14815 muffler on, but the vehicle has two pipes and the muffler has place for only one pipe entry. Will running a Y-Pipe cause issues with backpressure and be too restrictive?

    Thanks in advance

I'm assuming the rest of your exhaust is stock. The stock exhaust is as restrictive as you can get. A Y-pipe at the end should be the least of your worries in terms of flow.

I had a similar problem. I couldn’t handle it. The car stands, gathering dust and waiting in the wings

It probably will not matter on that car, its old, has lost HP, and the stock exhaust system is restricted anyway.

That being said why dont you just get a 2 in 2 out muffler.

        MagnaFlow Performance Mufflers 11385

Its 2-2.25in in and 2- 2.25in out with no tips.

Its cheaper and you can then add any tips you want.
