RARE - BMW Music Edition Cassettes Topic

A Topic about original BMW Cassettes available in the '80's & '90's.

A couple of months ago i did some research on these ultra rare official BMW Music Edition Cassettes. I'm starting a topic here for to summarise all info i can find about these things.
When i was a young boy i still had the chance to experience a bit of the "cassette-age". And i do have a weak spot for the OEM Cassette holders in the E30 cars. So one day i was bored and started searching for BMW E30 Playlists.
I found some information about these things, but info is very hard to find.

So i would like to continue the search for this information to make my research complete and share this absolute-must-have-knowledge with my fellow E30/Classic BMW-lovers.
If someone has more information about these, owns couple of them or has pictures of the playlists/boxes. Be free to post in this topic.



I found this german website that referenced these BMW Music Edition Cassettes. They were compilation of known and less known tracks. Each compilation had it's own category, name and style...
This collection consists out of 3 big categories: BMW Music Edition Power Play, BMW Music Edition Sound Relax & BMW Music Edition Classic Dreams.

Each cassette has its own ETK- / part-number.

Me too, i love them. It was the first retrofit item i installed on my 318iS. If i drive my 80's car i want to experience it like i'm back in the 80's.

you should get some BMW VHS tapes for the full set. Yes, BMW had those too...I have one that came with my old e46. I pretty sure I've seen e39 vhs too
