Umm I kind of made a change..(pls don't hate me)

Some weeks ago I picked up a sweet '94 E34 525i. Reason being that I wanted to give the M-tech some rest, retire it as a daily.
Thursday I however decided to sell it.I shall be seeing it around though.
The past weekend just SUCKED ass though as I started to come out of shock realizing what had taken place.:(

This song came to mind and sorta stuck in my brain playing over 'n over

The E34 storms down the freeway nicely and all but that raw, smack-it-around feel we all love about the E30 just isn't there. Maybe some suspension mods can somewhat mimmick this.

I must return to an E30 in the future.

Some pics from a shoot today

    sorry, but it wont happen.

My E34 was almost the rawest of them all plus i modded the suspension to be much stiffer than stock, and it still wasn't the same as driving an E30.

biggest problem i think with the E34 is the rolling ball steering. I like the rack and pinion much better.

I was tempted to give up my e30 for an e34 525i 5-spd but I couldn't possible bring myself to do it. There is no reason for me to get rid of the e30...ever. There's no car payment, insurance is cheap, and it's been relatively cheap to maintain and mod. I'm nearly finished with the car, and am looking for an e39 wagon to daily, so the e30 can be a garage queen and turn into a full fledged project car.

Enough of my rant though, I do really like the look of the e34 on the Hartge's and the green is a nice color.

ding ding ding. i remember having this conversation with a buddy about the sloppy steering input on all the e34s i drove and it was then that I found out they didnt use rack and pinion steering on the 5 series.

yup, and high milage ones get a dead spot on center too, so the steering is even more vague

I also purchased a 1994 E34 Hartge H5 V8 5 Speed last year...and kept my e30 in case i would have regretted selling it...After driving my E34 for a week i had completely forgotten about my E30 and it is now up for sale...IMO they are both amazing, classic models and completely different!

I can't believe you sold your e30. It is one of my favourites on the site.

In regards to the e34 steeing. Tightening the steering box can make a big difference in the feel of the steering. Makes it feel much tighter.

Your e30 was so nice looking. But when it's time to move on, i guess it's time to move on. I do like that green color on the e34.

I moved on several times to e34's including a couple M5's but nothing came close to the e30.....except for the Alpina.

Me either, to tell you the truth. I had wanted to always keep it in my possesion but cancerous rust started to show here and there and it was proving too costly for me in the long run.

The green colour is Oxford green metallic

                            thnx they are 17 x 8.5j ET13 all round

I 'lost' on the sale price because of the body work necessary to make it mint again. E30 prices in general here are cheaper than in the States from what i've seen. A genuinely mint e30 can go for € 5k (asking price).
