Just picked up my new e30

    Hello,
I've been looking for an e30 for awhile now, probably because I'm too picky. Finally found one close enough to home that fulfilled all of my requirements. Went to look at the car last weekend(about an hour drive) and was very impressed. Body is pretty clean except for a couple spots. Drives much better than I thought a car with 223,000 miles, would drive. Interior is very nice except for the drivers side seat that has the typical wear. Made an offer Monday morning and by Wednesday the previous owner accepted it. Finally picked it up this morning and drove it home. Can't wait to get started wrenching on it. Had to drive home through some rain and semi trucks throwing up all kinds of sand and dirt, so its a little dirty at the moment.
    Anyway, on to some pictures:

The plans for this car are just to keep it stock for the summer. Previous owner replaced a lot before he sold it (timing belt, front and rear shocks, spark plugs, belts, hoses etc. etc.). After the winter, suspension and wheels(as of now Ronal LS). Maybe engine swap down the line somewhere. Not really sure yet.

Keeping the DBs for awhile though.

Did PO hit something? Passenger side of DB looks pushed farther in then other side.

              Is it an ETA?

Nice. Looks like an 86-87 325eS minus front spoiler or 325e with "S" steering wheel and rear spoiler. I also see a 5K tach although it seems to have a 325i muffler.

I noticed the uneven front bumper when I looked at the car too. The previous previous owner did the bumper tuck. There was no damage to the passenger side frame rail which leads me to believe no accident or at most a low speed one. Checked behind the bumper and no damage there either. So maybe it was uneven when he did the tuck? Dont really know.

The PO said 325es. VIN says 325e. VIN also says LSD, sport seats, m-sport suspension, and the m sport steering wheel. Whether or not its a ES or E really doesnt matter to me. It's all going to be upgraded and replaced eventually.:D

PO replaced the muffler last summer.
