E30 Dinan Turbo In Central PA

Took a trip to PSU main campus this weekend. I've been eying up this random farm in the past, so this weekend was nice enough for a few pictures. Wish i had some time to mess with some of the camera settings b/c it was bright as hell out. But i'll just play around with photoshop later, and see what i can do with these. Oh and i'll never be taking pictures at this place again, since i damn near ripped my oil pan off trying to drive up this road... hah.

Very noice. What all did you do to make it an official "Dinan" car? My buddy has an e46 330i which has all the points and then some to become a Dinan 3. Sick interior btw.

Very nice car. That engine bay looks perfect (the rest of the car does too, but I clicked into the thread to see the engine..).

If I had roads like that here.. I'd be shooting rooster tails of gravel everywhere all the time.

No the interior was something i had done myself. Its funny though, b/c my intent with the interior is to make people think just that. I think as a tuner Dinan should do stuff like that too, to make their cars more unique. Kinda like Alpina or ACS. Oh well.

Back in the late 80s early 90s Dinan did one-off turbo kits for the e30. They supposedly put only 20 of these kits on e30s. And this is one of the few left. The water/air intercooling system however is not Dinan, the smic was damaged from the wrecked car i pulled this drivetrain from. It also has a e36 M3 Dinan turbo exhaust which was custom fitted for the car. I've put H&R sports and bill sports on it (amongst other stuff to the suspension) which i've been told was the standard stage 1 suspension upgrade back in the day.

Hey Kevin. For anyone who is wondering, this is where i got my interior from. Thanks for the offer on the boots, but my gf gave the black ones to me for a present so they're here to stay... haha. I might do the door handles and maps in black leather with matching stiching like we discussed. But that's for later down the line. I gotta do the headliner first.

Thanks for all the kind words guys! With a smic it put down 260hp and 290 lbs of torque at the wheels. So with 15% drive train loss thats like 306bhp and 341lbs of torque.

I'm hoping that with the water to air intercooler system thats in there now, i can squeeze out just a little more power out of the setup. I guess we'll see.
