    Daily HPDE E30 - Alpine White 1987 325 coupe

It’s been more than a few years since my last post. Hello again friends.

Introducing my new project - an alpine white ‘87 BMW 325 5spd coupe, with 238k, an IS motor swap and luckily just enough power to limp it home nearly a year this coming March.

The guy I bought the car from had recently purchased it, with the intent to restore it. He purchased it from a woman whose late husband used to run the car at HPDE events on the weekends. It sadly sat outside for 5 years after his passing before his wife decided to part with it. The guy I ultimately bought it from called uncle after spending his first paycheck on parts only to barely get it running.

Despite the demons, the car has history and can't wait to bring this back to its former glory.

A lot has happened since last March so let us start this thread with a handful of my favorite pics from the last year.

Thanks for asking - have done a ton over the last year. My intention was to share build updates here, but instead have been using Instagram under my handle --> e30_brando

I was supposed to be back on track for HPDE events this past June after a full engine rebuild and engine bay respray but have been chasing electrical gremlins / intermittent no starts for the last 3 weeks. I don't trust the car yet.

A couple recent progress pics for you guys.
