THanks guys, we have a few small issues we need to work out. After the 2 runs in the video, our coolant temps were over 220F, and the hoses were rock solid! We're going to change the thermostat and see it helps. We also have a small oil leak coming from our valve cover we need to fix.

well after a long week or preping and painting this weekend we were finally able to rip away the tape, set this thing on the ground and take it for a test drive. We still have a bunch of things to get done before but here it the first look at how it looks on the ground. Hope you guys enjoy the pics. Also there are two videos posted at the end, one is our first test drive took it for a little spin to see if things were ok. Our second video was after we we got everything working well enough, still need to make a few adjustments. Its running a little rich but we will be working on that this weekend.

We had to cut our side exit exhaust at the bend because it is about .5 inches off of the ground and flying sparks was not cool.

Carlos (silence) was able to fab up a nice harness bar for us

We pulled the car out of the garage for the first time in 4 months, did an alignment, and put on the front end

A spray gun. the interior is finished, and we sprayed the exterior last night, but unfortunately we ran out of paint 3/4 way though.

we have thought about making some custom camber plates... but we want to stay away from cutting and drilling the shock towers. In the pic, the front tires are not bolted on...they are just sitting on the floor. we'll take some new pics once the car is off the jackstands.

Yes I did, but it is a neighbor who happens to be a police officer who parks his car there to deter people from doing what I did in the video.

Well after a lot of prep work and only 15 days until the challenge last night we started painting the car. We still haven't figured out what theme we are going to do yet to the car but maybe we can put up a pole and let everyone help decide. More updates will be coming as we start realizing we only have 2 weeks to go. We were able to paint the inside back half of the car, and front half of the car. Hopefully we will be finishing up all the paint by this weekend.

Our downfall for the last 2 years was not cleaning up the inside of the car. we are working on the car just about everyday now. The radials are 275-50-15, which is pretty large, but since we cut about 4 inches off of the rear 1/4 they fit nicely. For the drags I think we will swap out out 5" 750lb springs in place for our stock springs. Our car is currently running, but we hope to have a Holset HX35 powering this car by this time next week. Lets all hope and pray that the next few work days go smoothly.

Oh and we were also able to pick up some drag radials
