Nice color and nice platform to start. Definately go with some suspension 1st man. www.tunershop.com has some nice spring/strut combos for the E30, I'd recommend the 60/40mm drop. Some wheels would be nice, but if you can't afford them then go for some nice tires for the stock rims. Yokohoma is always a good tire in my book. Then after that go for a nice intake and exhaust.www.driftunit.com and www.excelfundamentals.com <--- supporter and admin -

where in california are you? well since being 17 and under a tight budget, the best bang for your buck is a jim conforti chip. it gives 20+ hp to the wheels for the eta motor.

E30's love being dropped, they handle awesome. I know how you feel with money being tight as I just turned 18 a little over a week ago myself. I'd reccomend 2 things for youe Eta, a Jim C chip, and suspension. For suspension, go with Bilstein sport shocks for sure, as far as springs, go with H&R or Ireland Engineering. I don't reccomend Eibach because they're too soft and drop the rear of E30's too much.
Anyway, good luck with the car man.Comment

I'd suggest Koni SAs / IE Stage 3s. That's the setup I'm installing hopefully this weekend. I've only heard positives about it. I'm replacing a lot of the old worn suspension componets while I'm in there too, so you might want to consider those costs. The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.Comment

I haven't gotten around to buying the H&R Sport/Bilstein suspension I'm looking to get because of financial reasons but I think that's your best bet if you're as tight for cash as I am. I feel your pain, just turned 18, sweet ass car to mod, part time job income, school full time... (I'm just guessing)... Anyways, it's more likely to find used H&R Sports and Bilsteins than to find a used H&R cup kit, that's why I'm more likely going to go that way. I like the drop in both of them and I've only heard good things about the ride quality for both of them. If you can find a good deal on either one of those, I'd say go for it. But make sure that you consider all of the maintenance costs that will come along with having the car, something will always come up to bite you in the ass.Originally posted by MR 325E30's love being dropped, they handle awesome.
