      The whole process on their part has been very pleasant. They actually take your word for things, which is a very pleasant surprise in this day and age.


      Thanks for the condolences and offers everyone. I am going to fix it myself and am confident I can get good results. I've been toying with the idea of black bumpers for a while now, so this gives me a good excuse.

            Resurrecting this to state that 8 years and 4 owners later this bumper has still not been repaired. :)

            If anyone in SoCal ever runs across a decent Calypso rear bumper please let me know, I'll buy it.
