Looks like roll-center spacers will help solve your suspension and steering issues with the car that low. Or custom control arms/tie rods with longer studs. Either way should be entertaining for you to do, and for us to watch.

      Good luck with it.

thank you. I was planning on modifying the steering, it won't be as low as the black one for a while though, I have time to plan. I was thinking I could notch out the sub frame for control arm clearance, or I could make new control arms like you say. maybe make it so they are no longer dependent on the sway bar, but still have a sway bar.

might be a stupid question, but what are roll-center spacers?

These are possibly the last pics that will be taken of the black car:

I like that International pickup in the background of the first few pics. I've got a 66 scout for the snow when my e30 is tucked in for the winter.

i wanna see a e21 that low. but why would you want to put a 7mge in they blow head gaskets like nothing. and are shit compared to a 1jz.

My friend was looking into that recently actually, I guess you just torque the head bolts tighter than toyota did and they are fine, of course I don't remember the spec toyota had them and what they are supposed to be off the top of my head. I'd take a 1JayZ over a 7mge any day, but I bet I could find a 7mge cheaper. I think a 2JayZ in an E21 would be the best possible scenario though... but I'm not made of money.

Wanna sell me the complete rear brakes, front calipers, and MC off of that parts car?

Here is an example of a roll center spacer (for an E30 M3)--http://store.nexternal.com/shared/St...otors&All=True

Doubt that the E21 struts are set up the same way, but with these spacers you can space the steering knuckle away from the housing and eliminate the upward angle that your control arms and tie rods were stuck at with it so low.

You can get basically the same effect by using Heim jointed components with bolts and spacers. But that's just getting crazy.

The car was supposed to be picked up today, and the rear brakes are still on it, I won't have time to get them between now and when they'll probably pick it up tomorrow. If it's still here after 5 tomorrow, I might snag them for you. I do have the front calipers, I might be willing to part with them, the MC hasn't had the cap on it for at least 3 years and the car hasn't had a hood the whole time, I wouldn't trust it, and I'm not going to have anyone else take that risk. Make me an offer on the calipers, I'll see what I can do, if I can get the rear brakes, i will, but I doubt that will happen, sorry on that, should have spoken sooner.

Hey on the MC if you think it's trashed throw it in the box with the calipers. What year 320i is it anyways? I'm test fitting these parts on a 1600. I only need the MC for fitment testing purposes.

if by "biggest" you mean "best", then I agree. I have never seen a pile of shit I like so much, infact, I'm kind of sad to see it go. It's true hood ride, no owner induced damage besides me driving my truck on the front corner of it.

as far as the MC, if the car is still there when I get back to it, then sure, I'll pull it for you, but the car will probably be gone. Name a price on those calipers that sounds fair to you and PM me and all that. The car I parted out is an 82, the one I'm keeping is an 83.
